Bhilai: Water supply restored in ward 44

Ward Councilor Deputy Leader of Opposition Daya Singh complained about no water coming in the pipes in Zone 04 Shivaji Nagar Ward No. 44 Odia Basti Ganesh Mandir Sulabh Road of Municipal Corporation Bhilai area. That the water supply in the ward is disrupted, due to which the residents of the ward are facing a lot of problems. This should be resolved soon. During the investigation after digging with JCB, it was found that wood waste was stuck in the pipe line. Due to which water supply is getting obstructed. Local people secretly make holes in the pipe line and take illegal connections. The result of this was that wood waste got stuck there. That place was cut and removed, cleaning was done, the choke was cleared by removing the valve. Due to which water has started flowing in the pipe line. After the tank was filled, water supply has started in the entire Oriya Basti Ganesh Mandir Sulabh Road. Zone Commissioner Satish Yadav, Engineer Chandrakant Sahu were present with their team for the pipe line maintenance work. The maintenance work was done by them by deploying a maintenance gang. It should be noted that the Municipal Corporation tries to ensure that clean drinking water is available on time in all the wards. Residents secretly make holes in the main pipe line and take water supply illegally. It cannot be closed properly and as a result, garbage gets stuck in the pipe.
