With the dream of realizing the thoughts and dreams of Pandit Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi and other Congress leaders and making the country a prosperous nation, Rahul Gandhi will travel a distance of 6700 kilometers on foot for 67 days. Rahul Gandhi will undertake a padyatra from Manipur to Mumbai with the grand aim of providing political, social and economic justice to the people.
Vora said that Congress leaders struggled for the country’s independence for many decades. Congress leaders liberated the country with the sacrifices of countless people. After independence, leaders like India’s visionary Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Iron Lady Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Manmohan Singh laid the strong foundation of modern India.
