Bhadrachalam in limelight to celebrate divine wedding

Khammam/Adilabad: The divine marriage of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita was celebrated with religious fervor on the auspicious occasion of Sri Ram Navami at the Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple in Bhadrachalam, located in the Bhadradri-Kothagudem district, on Wednesday.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, along with Endowments Minister Konda Surekha, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Principal Secretary (Endowments) Shailaja Ramaiyar and other officials, attended the divine wedding.
Chief Secretary A. Shanti Kumari offered ‘Pattu Vastralu’ and ‘Thalambralu’ for the divine marriage, which was conducted in the presence of hundreds of devotees gathered from all corners of the state. The Bhadradri temple was decorated with festive decorations, adding to the spiritual atmosphere of the occasion.
The idols of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita were ceremoniously moved from the main temple to the Kalyana Mandap of Mithila Stadium after performing special rituals in the morning.
Bhatti Vikramarka along with his wife Bhatti Nandini and son Surya Vikramaditya participated in the divine wedding, which began at ‘Abhijit Lagna’ at 12 noon, followed by the Talambaralu ritual.
While considering the importance of Sitaramchandra Swami’s divine marriage, Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized its role in promoting communal harmony and secularism, noting the tradition of sending ‘Mutyala Talambaralu’ for divine marriage by rulers since the Quli Qutb Shah period. Figured out.
He expressed the commitment of the Congress government to rule the state with increased responsibility and accountability while meeting the needs of the people within the democratic framework. He sought blessings of Lord Ram and his wife Goddess Sita and extended best wishes for the well-being, prosperity and good health of the people of Telangana. Bhatti Vikramarka also participated in the divine marriage of Lord Sita Ram at Snanala Lakshmipuram in Vaira Assembly constituency.
Former minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar donated ‘Pachala Haram’ (emerald necklace) to the Sitaramchandra Swamy temple.
In Khammam city, top BRS leaders including Rajya Sabha member Vodiraju Ravichandra and BRS election contesting candidate Nama Nageswara Rao attended the divine marriage of Lord Rama Sita held in the 42nd division.
While Congress and BRS leaders actively participated in the divine marriage at various places and villages, the BJP and its allies organized massive processions in Bhainsa, Nirmal and Adilabad, where local MLAs Aleti Maheshwar Reddy and Payal Shankar , joined with BJP’s Lok Sabha members. Candidate Godam Nagesh participated.
