Bengaluru: Woman jumps onto metro tracks to retrieve her fallen phone
Bengaluru: In a shocking incident here on Tuesday, a woman jumped onto a metro track carrying 750 KV electricity to retrieve her fallen mobile phone. The incident occurred at Indiranagar metro station at 6:45 pm. moon. When the security personnel saw the woman on the streets, they immediately informed the control room and cut off the electricity, averting a possible tragedy. As a result of this incident, metro services on the Purple Line were disrupted for 15 minutes during peak hour. Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on Tuesday said the incident at Indiranagar Metro station involved a woman whose mobile phone had fallen. The passenger went down the aisle to retrieve her phone and security personnel activated security devices to guarantee her safety. After getting the phone back, she returned to the other side with the help of a passenger. BMRCL personnel had to reset the equipment to restore services.
