Bengaluru: BJP asks Karnataka government to declare January 22 as public holiday
Bengaluru: The Karnataka unit of BJP has demanded that the Congress government declare January 22 as a celebration day for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya. State President B.Y. Vijayendra said on Friday that January 22 is an unforgettable day of utmost importance in the history of our country. “Insofar as Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah recognized the prominence of Ram Pranapratishtha, turned it into a day of celebration for all. “A free day will give millions of devotees a chance to witness the joy of this historic occasion with family and enjoy the sacred rituals and puja without any hassle.” Vijayendra also announced: “Reunited to witness the historic prayer of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya”. The Congress government has not yet issued any announcement in this regard.
