Battle over fielding big leaders in Madhya Pradesh Congress
Bhopal: The process of filling nomination papers for the first phase of elections in Madhya Pradesh has started, but Congress has not yet been able to finalize the names of candidates for all the seats. The main reason for this is the war within the party regarding senior leaders contesting the elections. Out of these 28 seats, Congress has been able to decide candidates only on 10 seats and it is yet to decide the names of candidates on 18 seats. If sources are to be believed, according to the feedback Congress has received from the grassroots level, veteran leaders like Digvijay Singh, Ajay Singh, Arun Yadav, Umang Singhar, Jaivardhan Singh, Priyavrat Singh, Jitu Patwari, Vivek Tankha have talked about contesting the elections. Has been. There are many of these leaders who have said that they are not interested in contesting the Lok Sabha elections. Sources said, due to the ongoing discussion within the party regarding fielding veterans and the reluctance of veterans to contest the elections, the list of candidates could not be finalized. Not only this, the party is also planning to field many MLAs. There is also a possibility that the party high command will talk directly to the senior leaders and only then the names will be approved in the next meeting of the Central Election Committee.
