Bandi Sanjay should stop telling lies: Vinod Kumar

Karimnagar: Former Member of Parliament and BRS leader Boinapally Vinod Kumar has challenged Bandi Sanjay to substantiate his accusations alleging that the former MP of Karimnagar had coerced L&T company into awarding sub-contracts to him and his relatives during the construction of the Medigadda project.

Addressing the media at his Karimnagar camp office on Tuesday, Vinod Kumar dismissed Bandi Sanjay’s remarks as baseless and irresponsible for someone holding the position of an MP. He emphasized the importance of accountability in public discourse, particularly from elected representatives like Bandi Sanjay.

Vinod Kumar demanded that Bandi Sanjay disclose the identity of the individual who purportedly received the Medigadda sub-contract from L&T, as well as the identity of the alleged former MP and their relatives involved. He asserted that if allegations were being made, it was imperative for Bandi Sanjay to have the courage to provide evidence and speak the truth.

Highlighting the history of MPs in the region, Vinod Kumar noted instances where relatives of past MPs had been awarded contracts for projects like the Medigadda Barrage. He called upon Bandi Sanjay to address these precedents and directed him to question the current Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, for further clarification.

Vinod Kumar criticized Bandi Sanjay’s track record, accusing him of neglecting the constituents during his tenure as an MP and only reengaging with them when elections approached. He questioned the legitimacy of Bandi Sanjay’s recent padayatra, pointing out the lack of substantial achievements during his tenure.

Refuting Bandi Sanjay’s claims of securing funds for various government schemes, Vinod Kumar labeled them as mere attempts to claim undeserved credit. He challenged Bandi Sanjay to present a comprehensive account of his accomplishments during his five-year tenure as an MP.

Regarding the collapse of the Medigadda barrage, Vinod Kumar reiterated the BRS party’s stance, expressing openness to a judicial inquiry while urging the CM to devise solutions to prevent similar incidents in the future. He called for immediate action to address water scarcity issues faced by farmers during the current Yasangi season.

In conclusion, Vinod Kumar dismissed Bandi Sanjay’s allegations as politically motivated and aimed at garnering support ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He underscored the need for transparency, accountability, and responsible governance in addressing the concerns of the people of Karimnagar.
