Ban on heavy vehicles in Noida until August 11, check the new route plan before traveling.

Noida : To ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the Kanwar Yatra, the Gautam Buddha Nagar Police has issued a special traffic advisory for the Noida and Greater Noida areas. Under this advisory, the entry of heavy vehicles onto several major routes has been prohibited until August 11. The administration states that these measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of Kanwariyas (pilgrims), maintain traffic order, and prevent traffic congestion.

According to the traffic police, trucks, dumpers, container trucks, and other heavy goods vehicles will not be permitted to enter the city during the restricted period. Only vehicles associated with essential services will be granted exemptions, subject to specific conditions.

Special Traffic Management on These Routes

Traffic pressure is expected to rise on major routes connecting Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad during the Kanwar Yatra. In view of this, traffic diversions have been implemented on several sensitive routes. The movement of general traffic will be restricted in areas where the movement of Kanwariyas is high.

The police have urged travelers to check the traffic advisory before setting out and to use only the designated alternative routes.

Alternative Routes for Heavy Vehicles

The traffic police have advised heavy vehicles to use expressways and outer routes instead of entering the city. Goods vehicles arriving from different directions will be diverted according to their destinations to minimize congestion within the city and ensure the Kanwar Yatra proceeds without disruption.

Diversion plans may be modified based on the prevailing traffic situation if necessary; therefore, drivers are advised to strictly follow police instructions.

Appeal for Public Cooperation

The administration noted that the number of pilgrims increases steadily during the Kanwar Yatra, making public cooperation essential. Citizens are requested to avoid unnecessary travel, opt for alternative routes, and adhere to traffic police guidelines.

Travelers are advised to leave home earlier than usual, as traffic pressure on certain routes may be higher than on normal days. Comprehensive Security Arrangements

In view of the Kanwar Yatra, additional police forces have been deployed at major intersections, highways, and sensitive locations. Traffic and security arrangements are also being monitored via CCTV cameras and drones. Police and administrative teams will remain constantly active to handle any emergency situation.

The administration has clarified that the traffic arrangements, currently in effect until August 11, may be modified depending on the situation. Therefore, motorists are advised to check the latest traffic updates before setting out.
