Baba Guru Ghasidas gave the message of social harmony to all of humanity: CM Vishnudev Sai
Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai participated in the 269th birth anniversary celebrations of the revered Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji at the Government Ideal Post-Matric Scheduled Caste Boys’ Hostel premises in Pensionbada, Raipur, on the previous day. On this occasion, the Chief Minister interacted with the hostel students, respectfully paid homage to Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji, and remembered his ideals.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sai said that Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji, by giving the immortal message of “all human beings are equal,” showed the entire humanity the path of social harmony, equality, and brotherhood. His thoughts continue to inspire society to unite and create a system free from discrimination. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that the capacity of the Government Post-Matric Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Hostel in Pensionbada would be increased to 300 seats.
Chief Minister Sai said that as an MLA, MP, Union Minister of State, and now as Chief Minister, he has had the privilege of attending the Baba Guru Ghasidas Jayanti celebrations every year, but celebrating this event among the students is a matter of special joy and satisfaction for him. He said that when society was grappling with casteism and inequality, the birth of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji on the land of Chhattisgarh was a matter of pride for the state. Baba Ji guided society on a new path by following the path of truth and non-violence.
The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh government is continuously working for the all-round development of the state by imbibing the messages of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji. In the last 25 years, the state has made remarkable progress in the field of education. Today, students from the state are shaping their future by receiving education in national institutions like IITs, AIIMS, and National Law Universities. Special provisions have been made for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe entrepreneurs in the new industrial policy. He said that action has been taken against those responsible for corruption in the PSC (Public Service Commission), and now a transparent recruitment process is giving young people the opportunity to progress based on their merit.
Addressing the program, Minister of Skill Development Guru Khushwant Saheb said that the birth anniversary of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji will be meaningful only when we incorporate his teachings into our lives. He urged the youth to remain steadfast on the path of truth and move forward with confidence. He stated that the state government is paying special attention to skill development for young people. They are being prepared for the future by providing training in modern technologies such as robotics, drone technology, and artificial intelligence.
