Auction of property of Nirman Soudh Chief Engineer office stopped

Bhubaneswar: Recent updates indicate that the auction of Nirman Soudh Chief Engineer (Building) office property in Bhubaneswar has been halted. Reports confirm that the Government has committed to settling the outstanding dues, resulting in the cessation of the auction process.

Initial reports suggested that the auction had been initiated based on directives from the Bhubaneswar Senior Division Sub-Judge. Notably, the property auction stemmed from unsettled bills amounting to Rs. 18 lakh owed by the contractor.

The auction proceedings, overseen by court officials, were prompted by a lawsuit filed by a contractor affiliated with Construction India, identified as Dinesh Pathak.

It’s pertinent to mention that the Nirman Soudh Chief Engineer had previously requested time from the Court on April 29. The lawsuit, originating in 1998, stemmed from the construction of the ‘Natala building’ situated in Bhubaneswar.

Sources also highlight that the decision to halt the auction was attributed to the alleged inaction on the part of the Nirman Soudh Chief Engineer (Building), as cited in credible reports concerning this matter, issued by the Bhubaneswar Senior Division Sub-Judge.
