Attempt to spend liquor worth Rs 14 lakh in Chhag, excise team caught

Ambikapur. Divisional Excise Flying Squad team has raided in Surguja district. From there they seized 165 boxes of English liquor of Punjab worth approximately Rs 14 lakh. The police has also arrested the accused.

According to the information received, the Divisional Excise Flying Squad team has raided the warehouse located on Kharsia Road, Ambikapur. Accused Balbhagwan Pandey has been arrested. During interrogation, the accused told that he was supplying liquor in Ambikapur by bringing it from Punjab. The police have registered a case under the Excise Act and started taking action.
