Attack on police vehicle: Leaders condemn the incident

Tamil Nadu: Leaders of political parties, including AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, have condemned the incident in which a mob hurled country-made bombs at a police vehicle near the Thirumandurai toll plaza in Perambalur district.

Edappadi K. Palaniswami: Four police personnel were injured in the incident when a mob threw country-made bombs at a police vehicle. It appears that those involved in criminal activities have no fear of the police or this government. I wonder whom the Chief Minister will blame for this incident.

Nainar Nagendran (BJP leader): This single incident is proof of the breakdown of law and order under the DMK regime. Not only has the safety of the common people been compromised, but the DMK government has now also jeopardized the safety of the police department, pushing Tamil Nadu into a state of crisis.

Anbumani Ramadoss (PMK leader): It is reprehensible that this attack occurred just hours after the Chief Minister stated in the Assembly that law and order in Tamil Nadu was good.

TTV Dhinakaran (AIADMK General Secretary): Law and order in Tamil Nadu is being questioned. This has created a situation where the police department, which is supposed to provide security to the public, itself needs protection.
