Assam: The 100-year-old city hall of the city was built in 1999 and is the largest city hall in the country. He also raised the issue of ‘one country, one election’ while talking to reporters. He said that it is not a big deal for the Congress, which has declared emergency in the country, to oppose one country one election.
The minister also said that the people of the country will be able to vote simultaneously for the members of the Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha after five years for ‘one country, one election’. The minister is visiting Mankachar to inaugurate several government schemes. The minister visited Mankachar via Tura in Meghalaya and discussed with party workers at the AGP district headquarters on the panchayat elections. After discussions with party workers, the minister reached Hatshingmari Awar Bhawan. On December 18, Minister Keshav Mahanta will attend several government programs and a meeting of party workers.
