Assam Police launches YouTube channel to enhance cooperation with public
Guwahati (IANS) | Assam Police has launched its official YouTube channel with an aim to act as an interface to facilitate closer collaboration between the people and the security personnel. Officials have given this information on Monday.
‘The Assam Police Channel’ was launched on Sunday at a function held at the Assam Police Headquarters in Ulubari, Guwahati.
Director General of Police G.P. Singh launched the channel in the presence of several senior officials and their families.
Speaking on the occasion, Singh stressed that the Assam Police aims to strengthen its bond with the citizens of the state and work towards a safer and more secure society.
He reiterated that Assam Police already has its popular social media handles on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and with the launch of YouTube channel this gap will be further reduced.
The DGP further said that various cultural initiatives launched by the Assam Police along with the YouTube channel and the launch of the folk orchestra would help in promoting community bonding and people would understand the functioning of the police force in a better way.
