Aashadha month starts after the dry spell starts. This time Aashadha month is starting from 6th July as the dry spell of drains has started. Hence, after the start of Aashadha month, all auspicious works like marriage, Griha Pravesh, Upanayana, buying vehicle and land and starting a new business become forbidden. There is also a natural reason behind this spiritual significance of the Ashad month. Many people believe that whatever work the ancestors did, they did it with a sense of inspiration rooted in their cultural and historical background. The beginning of the Ashad month means the beginning of the rainy season. It is also believed that there is more rainfall in the Ashad month.
