Arun Nehru met with the Union Finance Minister.

Tamil Nadu: DMK MP Arun Nehru met with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday.

Arun Nehru met with Nirmala Sitharaman and submitted a petition while the Winter Session of both Houses of Parliament was underway.

In his post about the meeting, he stated:

“Today, in New Delhi, I personally met with the Finance Minister and raised two crucial issues that directly impact the lives of ordinary citizens:

  1. Immediate reforms regarding consumer protection in credit rating agencies – ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability for borrowers across India.
  2. I have requested that expeditious redressal measures be taken for the thousands of families, especially the women of Thuraiyur, who have lost their hard-earned money in the BACL Limited scam.”

Earlier, Minister K.N. Nehru had written a letter to the Tamil Nadu DGP alleging a ₹1,020 crore corruption scam in the municipal administration sector, involving bribes for contracts and jobs, and the Enforcement Directorate had also sent a 252-page report with relevant evidence.

Based on this, it is noteworthy that K.N. Nehru has also insisted on filing a case against Arun Nehru.
