Army rescues 5 Meitei youths from Kuki insurgent group in Manipur
Imphal (IANS). Army and Assam Rifles personnel rescued five youths of the Meitei community who were abducted two days ago by Kuki militants. Official sources gave this information.
An official in Imphal said on Sunday that Army and Assam Rifles personnel rescued five youths from Gwaltabi village under Yingangpokpi police station in Imphal East district.
Kuki terrorists allegedly abducted the youth on Saturday evening while they were traveling in an autorickshaw.
However, the Kuki militants claimed that they released the five youths in the larger interest of peace and communal harmony.
