Washing them with water can cause mold to grow on them due to the moisture on them. Therefore, it is better to wash oranges before eating them. Also, do not store them in plastic bags. Store them in mesh, cotton bags, or bags with holes. Doing this will allow air to pass through and prevent the oranges from spoiling.

Even after storing them in the fridge, they should be checked occasionally. Soft and moldy fruits should be separated. There is a possibility that other fruits will be spoiled due to spoiled fruits. Also, before storing oranges, a paper towel should be placed at the bottom of the container. This will absorb excess moisture. If they are not kept in the fridge, they should be stored at room temperature. This will keep them from spoiling for a week. Store them away from heat and sunlight.

This should not be mixed with fruits.

Also, they should not be stored in a high pile. They should be stored in a single layer or in small piles with air circulation. They should not be stored together with bananas and apples. These release ethanol. This can cause oranges to spoil quickly. Therefore, it is better to store them separately. When there is a large amount of oranges, peel them, put them in an airtight container, store them in the refrigerator and use them for juice, smoothies, desserts, etc. By doing this, oranges can be stored for a long time without spoiling.
