APSTS organises ‘Run for Road Safety’ marathon to commemorate its Golden Jubilee

KHONSA: A ‘Run for Road Safety’ marathon was organised here in Tirap district on Friday, marking the commencement of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services (APSTS).
The marathon was conducted in multiple categories, including 5 kilometres (inter-school run), 10 kilometres, and half marathon (21 kilometres) races for male and female participants.
Results: Half marathon (male): 1st – Humen Senapathi, 2nd – Vinit Rathi, and 3rd – Son Engti.
Half marathon (female): 1st – Tejaswani Lambkane, 2nd – Sangmir Teronpe, and 3rd – Phohe Wangsu.
10 kilometres (male): 1st – Rajiv Tamang, 2nd – Agalumso Tawsik, and 3rd – Bacemso Pul.
10 kilometres (female): 1st – Nang Lukkena Chautang, 2nd – Anai Wangsu, and 3rd – Wanglih Wangsu.
5 kilometres inter-school (male): 1st – Thakdang Pansa, 2nd – Lapan Wangsu, and 3rd – Jenngo Rumchu.
5 kilometres inter-school (female): 1st – Nguna Lowang, 2nd – Pitoh Wangsu, and 3rd – Sainya Wangsa.
Cash prizes, trophies and certificates were awarded to the winners by Transport Minister Ojing Tasing, MLA Chakat Aboh, and Transport Commissioner Saugat Biswas in recognition of their outstanding performances.
Earlier, Tasing flagged off the marathon, which sought to promote road safety awareness, healthy living, and community participation.
