Approval to form a new municipality in Waghodia of the district
Waghodiya will be the new municipality. In which the state government has approved. A municipality will be formed by merging three panchayats of Vadodara district. The Chief Minister’s vision for urban public welfare development is to consider industrial and educational development of rural areas including Waghodia in Vadodara district.
An important decision to allow the creation of a new municipality
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has taken an important decision to allow Waghoda in Vadodara district to be made a new municipality. Apart from Waghodiya, which is around Vadodara Municipal Corporation, Madodhar and Timbi gram panchayats will be merged to form this new Waghodiya Municipality. Waghodia, Madodhar and Timbi gram panchayats are gram panchayats near the developed Waghodia Road of Vadodara Municipal Corporation. Not only this, big industries, GIDC and educational institutions are also located in the area of these gram panchayats.
Seeing this pace of development, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has approved the proposal of the Urban Development Department to make Waghodia a municipality. It is necessary to mention here that as per the provisions of the Constitution, the State Government has the right to merge Gram Panchayats and outlying areas into Municipalities, taking into account the population of the local area, population density and income and geographical factors.
The area will benefit from extensive urban amenity facilities
In this regard, the State Urban Development and Urban Housing Department submitted a proposal to the Chief Minister with the positive opinion of the Municipal-Vadodara Area Regional Commissioner, Vadodara District Collector and Vadodara Municipal Commissioner. With Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel approving the proposal to make Waghodia a new municipality, the area will now get extensive benefits of urban amenities and ease of living will increase.
