Application registration for engineering courses completed: 2.98 lakh students registered

Tamil Nadu : As the application registration for engineering courses in Tamil Nadu closed at midnight on Friday, more than 2.98 lakh students have applied for admission. Online application registration for admission to government quota seats in BE and BTech courses in the current academic year in Tamil Nadu started on May 7. More than 15 thousand students applied on the first day itself. After this, on an average, more than 20 thousand applications were registered daily. In such a situation, the application registration was completed on Friday. By 1 pm on that day, 2 lakh 98 thousand 425 people had registered their applications. Out of this, 1 lakh 33 thousand 805 boys and 1 lakh 10 thousand 363 girls, a total of 2 lakh 44 thousand 168 people have paid the application fee. Students who have registered their applications will have to upload their certificates by June 9. After this, random numbers will be allotted to the students on June 11. Their certificates will be verified online by June 20. After this process is completed, the rank list will be released on June 27. After this, an announcement will be made about the counseling. The Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority has been verifying the sports certificates of students who have applied under the quota for outstanding sportspersons since June 2. This work will continue till June 13. The details of the timetable for them have been uploaded on the website. Also, it has been sent to each one individually through SMS. Since the entrance exam for the B.A.C. course is to be held at the end of this month, online application registration and certificate upload for this course can be done till June 30. According to a statement issued by Higher Education Minister K.V. Chezhiyan, the application date for Tamil Nadu Engineering Students Council supplementary counseling will be announced after the results of Plus 2 supplementary examination are released.
