Apple to launch MacBook Pro M4, iPad Mini at October 2024 event

AppleApple is expected to launch the latest generation of MacBook laptops along with the iPad mini at its upcoming event this month. The M4 processor was introduced earlier this year with the new iPad Pro models. Along with the MacBook Pro M4 and iPad mini, the tech giant is also expected to launch several other products. Let’s take a look at it.

Apple October 2024 Event: New Product Launch

Apple is going to revamp its MacBook Pro lineup, as well as a redesigned Mac mini, both of which will use the new M4 silicon. The new Apple products expected to launch at the event include a new iMacs, a low-end 14-inch MacBook Pro, high-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, and the Mac mini, all with M4 processors. According to the report, the M4 chip will mainly improve overall performance, but significant changes will be made to one Mac model. This could be a new Mac mini model, which the analyst claims will be released this year.

Apple is reportedly eliminating the 8GB RAM model for MacBooks and starting its lineup with a base of 16GB RAM from now on as the new macOS version supports Apple Intelligence features.

The report also mentions that the M4-powered Macs will support up to 32GB of memory which is a big jump from the 24GB RAM support offered with the M3-powered Macs. Apple and other tech giants have highlighted that AI tasks and hardware require more power to run and the decision to make 16GB RAM as a base option will be very welcome.

The iPad mini will be an attractive watch, which is also expected to be announced at the event, making it Apple’s latest product to make a comeback after a long time. Our guess is that the launch could happen during the second or third week of October and we will probably see Apple sharing event teasers in the coming days.
