Apple iPhone Fold with under-display camera is currently under testing: Report

Apple is likely to launch its first foldable smartphone globally by 2026 end or 2027. A rumour from Korea mentioned that the foldable device from Apple is currently under testing, reported GSMArena.

The iPhone Fold is said to offer a cover display with a hole-punch selfie camera. The device offers inner screen, folding screen along with under-display selfie camera just like the Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6. The iPhone Fold gets a side-mounted Touch ID fingerprint sensor and there will be no Face ID support.

The screen size of the device has shrunk if compared to the older prototype. The resolutions as well as aspect ratios have remained the same.

There is still some time for the launch of the smartphone and the exact specifications of the device are unknown. This means that a lot of the specifications of the device might change as it launches in the future. However, it is interesting to note that the company is considering under-display camera for the device.

Older rumours have mentioned that Apple will focus on minimizing the crease of the folding screen. The Apple iPhone Fold is expected to offer a higher-quality hinge as compared to its competitors.
