Apple iPhone Air launch in China delayed due to non-compliance to this issue

Apple iPhone Air launch in China has been delayed for some time. The company has however launched iPhone 17/ iPhone 17 Pro/ iPhone 17 Pro Max devices in China. The pre-order of the devices in available now across countries.
According to a report by ‘The South China Morning Post’ Apple is facing issues with regulations regarding eSIM technology in China. The company is currently working with the authorities in mainland China to resolve the particular issue.
Apple has also confirmed that three major Chinese carriers are prepared to support eSIM on the iPhone Air, mentioned reports. However, Apple has not offered the release date for the iPhone Air. Apple Store website in China has mentioned that the release date for iPhone Air pre-order will be updated later.

The Apple iPhone Air offers 6.5-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The display gets Ceramic Shield 2 protection with Anti-reflective coating.
The device gets iOS 26 OS out of the box along with Apple A19 Pro 3nm hexacore processor.
When it comes to camera, the Apple iPhone Air gets a 48 MP dual camera system with 12MP telephoto lens. On the front, the device offers 18MP selfie camera. The device offers support for eSIMs for offering bigger battery space. Dimensions of the device are 156.2 mm, 74.7 mm and 5.6 mm. The device weighs 165g.
Connectivity options on the device include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C 2.0 and much more.
The device is offered in black, white, gold, and sky blue colour options. It gets IP68 dust and water resistance protection.
