Appeal to loanee beneficiaries to repay loan on time

Mahasamund. An appeal has been made by the District Antyavasyi Cooperative Development Committee to pay the loan amount on time for the recovery of the loan distributed to various sections, otherwise strict legal action will be taken against them.

In-charge Executive Officer District Antyavasyi Prabha Markande said that if any loanee beneficiary does not pay the loan amount within 10 days, his election nomination may be canceled. Especially those beneficiaries have been warned, who are willing to participate in the upcoming Panchayat and Municipal elections. To get a debt free certificate, they will have to pay their loan immediately. He has clarified that legal action will be taken against those loanees who are not paying the loan amount intentionally or negligently, as per the rules. This may include the process of attachment and auction of mortgaged property by filing RRC case. Along with this, a case can also be filed in the court on post-dated cheques under section 138. The committee has appealed to the community heads, local leaders and respected persons of all sections to cooperate in the loan recovery process and spread awareness within the community.
