Warangal: As part of the crackdown by BRS leaders on land mafias and those encroaching on government and private lands of innocent people, Bhupalpally police arrested BRS councilor Kotha Haribabu on land grabbing charges.

Bhoopalpally circle inspector Naresh Kumar said Haribabu, who is a strong supporter of former BRS MLA Gandra Venkatraman Reddy, was arrested following the orders of SP Kiran Khare after receiving a complaint.

Haribabu had threatened land owners and tried to grab a 10-acre eucalyptus grove in Kasimpalli village under Bhoolapalli municipal limits.
