Announcement of names of Congress candidates for civic elections soon
Raipur. Congress candidates to get tickets for civic and panchayat elections will have to please or gain the respect of a total of nine members. PCC General Secretary Malkit Singh Gaidu has issued instructions to form a nine-member committee on the recommendation of President Deepak Baij.
All presidents have sent letters to the District/City Congress Committee asking them to form it today itself. These committees will work for district level coordination for candidate selection and other decisions for Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat areas. These committees will make mutual coordination/consensus and submit the list of winnable candidates in priority order in a sealed envelope to the State Congress Committee by 23 January.
