Anna University sexual assault case: Tamil Nadu Governor to inquire into incident
Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi arrived at the Anna University on Saturday to inspect and inquire about the alleged sexual assault incident that took place. It is further worth mentioning that, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has constituted a Fact-Finding Committee to investigate the sexual assault incident at Anna University in Chennai.
Further, Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai self-whipped himself as a mark of protest to demand justice in the Anna University alleged sexual assault case. The TN BJP president had told the media that he would punish himself and go on a fast as a mark of protest against the Anna University sexual assault case.
Earlier on Thursday in a press interaction K Annamalai had told ANI:
“Tomorrow, I will hold a protest in front of my house, where I will whip myself six times. Starting from tomorrow, I will fast for 48 days and appeal to the six-armed Murugan. Tomorrow, a protest will be held in front of the house of every BJP member. From tomorrow until the DMK is removed from power, I will not wear sandals. There must be an end to this.”
