Ankush Dewangan honored at convocation ceremony

Bhilai. Renowned sculptor Dr. Ankush Devangan was honored at St. Xavier’s School, Borsi for his remarkable contribution to the contemporary Indian art world. During this, as a special guest in the convocation ceremony, he distributed degrees and awards to the students.
In his speech, he appealed to the children to join art to overcome the stress of current studies. It is known that Ankush Devangan is the first board member from Chhattisgarh state who has been given honorary membership of Lalit Kala Academy by the Government of India, Ministry of Culture, New Delhi. He has created timeless artworks like Krishna Arjun Rath of Civic Center in Bhilai, Panthi Chowk of Ruabandha, Prime Minister Trophy Chowk of Boria Gate, Shramveer Chowk of Sector 1, Chhota Parivar Chowk of Civic Center, Nataraja of Bhilai Niwas. Apart from this, Purkhauti Muktagan of Raipur, Raj Bhavan Bhopal, Surajkund International Crafts Fair Haryana, Durgapur Steel Plant West Bengal, World’s largest Iron Rath in Dalli Rajhara and the world’s smallest statues are witness to his unmatched art. On being honoured, Ankush Devangan has been congratulated by renowned modern art painters of the region D.S. Vidyarthi, B.L. Soni, Vijay Sharma, Mohan Baral, Meena Devangan, Praveen Kalmegh and litterateur Maneka Verma.
