Andhra Pradesh: The first Republic Day will be celebrated in the capital city of Amravati tomorrow.

Vijayawada: For the first time since its development, the sprawling core capital area of ​​Amaravati is all set to host the 77th Republic Day celebrations in a grand and spectacular manner.

Set against a vast, meticulously developed landscape adorned with lush greenery, open spaces, and world-class infrastructure, the event promises a memorable and dignified experience for all participants.

The state government has completed all arrangements to hold the celebrations in a serene and festive atmosphere on Monday, January 26. Andhra Pradesh Governor Justice S. Abdul Nazeer will be the chief guest, while Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, along with ministers, High Court judges, and farmers who contributed land for the capital, will be among the special guests. A full-dress rehearsal of the Republic Day parade was held on Saturday morning in the new capital region. Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta and Principal Secretary (General Administration) J. Syamala Rao inspected the arrangements.

The DGP received a ceremonial salute from Parade Commander R. Sushmita and hoisted the national flag. The rehearsal featured an impressive march past by contingents from the Indian Army, CRPF, AP Special Police, NCC (boys and girls), Bharat Scouts and Guides, and Youth Red Cross.

A total of 22 themed tableaux showcasing the state’s development and welfare initiatives participated. Guntur District Collector A. Tamim Ansari, Guntur SP Vakul Jindal, senior police officers, and heads of departments witnessed the rehearsal, marking the final countdown to the historic celebrations in the AP capital.
