Andhra Pradesh: Second year engineering student hanged herself in the hostel, police gave information
NTR: A second-year engineering student at Lakkireddy Balireddy Engineering College in Andhra’s NTR district allegedly hanged herself in her hostel room, Andhra Pradesh police inspector Kishore Babu said on Saturday. ,
Kishore Babu said that the deceased has been identified as Roshini, resident of Muppalla village of Chandralapadu mandal. As the news of the incident involving a second year Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) student spread, a sombre atmosphere prevailed at Lakkireddy Balireddy Engineering College.
In response to the unfortunate incident, the college management immediately declared a holiday to give students and staff time to process the shocking news. Parents and relatives of the deceased student reached the college to meet his grieving family.
“The student’s body was taken to Mylavaram Government Hospital for post-mortem,” Kishore Babu said. During this critical time, concerns were raised by her relatives, who sought answers from the college management regarding the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
An important question is being raised regarding the role and supervision of the hostel warden in such situations. As discussions took place between management, police and the student’s family, an investigation was launched into the circumstances leading to Roshini’s decision.
