Andhra Pradesh News: Exit polls indicate YSRC will remain in power

Vijayawada: Exit poll results announced by multiple pollsters on Saturday indicate that the YSRC, which is in power for the second consecutive term, will come to power in Andhra Pradesh. Pollster AARAA has forecast that out of the total 175 constituencies, the ruling YSRC will win 94-104 assembly seats with 49.4 per cent vote share, while the NDA will win from 71-81 constituencies with 47.5 per cent vote share. Similarly, it said that out of the total 25 Lok Sabha constituencies, the YSRC will win 13 and the NDA 12 seats, while the TD’s share will be nine, the BJP two and Jana Sena one. Similarly, several other pollsters like Partha Das said the YSRC will get 110-120 seats while the NDA will win from 55-65 constituencies. WRAP Strategies gave 158-171 seats to the YSRC and 4-17 seats to the NDA. Senior YSRC leader and former minister Perni Venkatramaiah exuded confidence that his party would win a second consecutive term with over 151 assembly seats and over 20 Lok Sabha constituencies.

He said people have supported Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRC as it has launched a series of welfare schemes and development works.On the other hand, some pollsters have indicated that the NDA will get more parliamentary seats than the YSRC. For instance, India Today-Axis My India has predicted that the TD will get 13-15 Lok Sabha seats, YSRC 2-4, BJP 4-6 and Jana Sena two out of a total of 25 seats.

ABP-CVoter has predicted that the NDA will get 21-25 Lok Sabha seats while YSRC will be restricted to 0-4 seats. Today’s Chanakya has claimed that TD will get 23 (plus or minus 3) and YSRC 3 (plus or minus 3) seats. NDA will get 19-22 seats while YSRC will get 5-8 Lok Sabha seats.

With regard to assembly constituencies, RISE has predicted that TD will get 115+ seats while YSRC will get 58 seats and others will get a section. People’s Pulse has predicted that NDA will win 111-135 assembly seats while YSRC will capture 45-60 constituencies.
