Andhra Pradesh: Confused old woman rescued at Chirala station
Ongole: Railway officials rescued a 75-year-old woman, who was traveling from Chennai to Ranchi in Alappuzha-Dhanbad Express (13352), after she deboarded the train at Chirala railway station on Friday. According to sources, the woman has been identified as Ann Advani, who was traveling with her daughter. She accidentally got off the train at Chirala on the morning of 5 January.
On learning about the issues, Chief Ticket Officer (Vijayawada) Srinivas Surada, who was in the train, alerted Srinivasulu of Chirala CTI. Srinivasulu started searching for Ann and immediately after locating her, informed Srinivas and the woman’s relatives. Given her advanced age and increasing state of anxiety, Ann became unconscious 10 minutes after being found.
Srinivasulu dialed 108 for an ambulance and was transferred to GGH, Chirala. Ann soon regained consciousness. Meanwhile, Ann’s daughter, who had deboarded the train at Vijayawada, reached Chirala and reunited with her mother.
