An old man was lying on the railway track, Dial 112 policemen saved his life with their intelligence

Raigarh. An old man lying on the railway track near Korea Dadar in Chakradharnagar police station area with the intention of committing suicide was rescued by the team of Dial 112 (Kotwali Rhino-1). Policeman Edward Kujur and ERV driver Jai Mahila reached the spot and tried to convince the old man.

People present at the spot were already persuading the old man to move away from the track, but he was not listening to anyone. The team of Dial 112 called the old man’s wife and daughter, who persuaded him and removed him from the track. Later the police safely took the old man to his home.

The family told that the old man is ill and his behavior had become abnormal for the last few days. He had suddenly left the house and gone somewhere earlier also. The staff of Dial 112 advised the family to get proper treatment for the old man. The timely action of the policemen saved the life of the old man and averted a major mishap.
