Amazon to deliver iPhones in 60 minutes with drones if you live in these selected locations
E-commerce giant Amazon has included delivery of Apple iPhones under its drone delivery service in the US. The category of drone delivery now includes products like iPhones, Samsung Galaxy smartphones, AirPods, Apple AirTags, and much more. This delivery will be done in 60 minutes or less depending on the place where a user lives. For those who are unknown, the drone delivery service operated by Amazon started in 2022 in United States.
In case you are wondering about the catch behind the delivery, it is quite simple. The users, who live in one of the locations where drone delivery is supported, can avail the service. The users can see drone delivery as an option in their Amazon app and availing this option is expected to cost $4.99 extra. The items of order must be less than 5 pounds in weight in order to qualify for the order. However, in case you are wondering if you will order hundred items via drone delivery, it will not happen.
Once a user places the order which is under the specific weight and resides in a supported area, he has to confirm a preferred delivery spot at your address. Amazon has specifically mentioned that the spot has to be a driveway or yard. Once a delivery point is set by a user, it will be saved for future orders.
However, if the weather conditions are unsuitable for delivery, the service will not be available for customers.
