Alliance will be announced after DMDK state conference: Premalatha Vijayakanth

Tamil Nadu : DMDK general secretary Premalatha Vijayakant said we will make an announcement about the alliance after the state conference to be held in Cuddalore in January next year. She told reporters in Namakkal on Thursday: We have already made it clear what the DMDK’s position is in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections to be held next year. We are currently working with the development of the party as our main focus. The DMDK state conference will be held in Cuddalore district on January 9. In that conference, we will give detailed information about who the alliance will be with, how many seats there will be and who will be the party’s candidates. Before that, we will announce constituency in-charges for all 234 assembly constituencies and start the election process. In this connection, my son Vijay Prabhakaran and I will tour the whole of Tamil Nadu and meet administrators, volunteers and people directly. A complaint has surfaced that a DMK leader sexually assaulted a college student in Arkonam. Such sexual assaults have increased in recent times. The DMK government has failed to stop it. I bow to the verdict given by the judge in the Pollachi sexual assault case. In today’s era, the situation of mistreatment of women has to be changed. The main reason for the increase in sexual crimes is alcohol, cannabis, unemployment etc. Many youths are going on the wrong path. The Chief Minister has gone to attend the ‘Niti Aayog’ meeting held in New Delhi. He said that it remains to be seen whether he had gone to take educational scholarship of Rs 2,261 crore from the Central Government or for the benefit of the party.
