All Assam Bengali Youth Student Federation, Kalaigaon Regional Committee celebrated Rabindra Jayanti at Balipara Durga Temple Complex

Kalaigaon: Under the aegis of All Assam Bengali Youth Students Federation (AABYSF), in collaboration with Kalaigaon Regional Committee, Balipara Mahila Unit, Rabindra Jayanti was organized at Balipara Durga Temple complex with day and night programs on Wednesday. As per the scheduled programme, a colorful procession was taken out in the morning. After that the main program started with the flag hoisting by Kalaigaon AABYSF President Vikas Devnath. Swahid Tarpan was offered by Debashish Mandal, Secretary, Udalguri District AABYSF. Biplab Das, assistant secretary of All Assam Bengali Youth Student Federation, lit the lamp in front of Rabindranath Tagore. Various competitions like art, painting, dance and quiz were organized among the children. An open meeting was also organized to distribute awards to these children. Many well-known people like veteran Bengali leader Brindaban Das, Pradeep Biswas, Narayan Das, Harkant Das, Madhab Das, Arun Sarma and Sujit Sarkar participated in this meeting. Apart from this, Brindaban Das and journalist Arun Sarma spoke about the ideologies of Rabindranath Tagore in the mass gathering. On this occasion, many local artistes like Ritu Chakraborty, Rajesh Guru and other children sang Rabindra Sangeet on Wednesday.
