Alcohol-drinker brutally beats woman, attacks her with kicks and punches
Illegal liquor is being sold in large numbers in Jampali village of Raigarh district. In such a situation, a meeting was held on Thursday by the women and villagers of the village regarding prohibition of liquor. More than 50 women and men attended the meeting. The meeting lasted for about two hours and everyone discussed about not allowing liquor to be sold in the village. Shortly after the meeting, Tiharo Bai, 60, of the village went to her home.
In such a situation, Raghunath Rathia, a resident of the village, came near the street of her house and started abusing and saying that you people will stop liquor in the village. Then Tiharo Bai came out of the house and when she stopped him, he beat the woman badly with kicks and punches. After the incident, the woman has reported the matter to the police station. The villagers of the village told that Tiharo Bai is a shepherd in the village and she used to take the village cows for grazing. She had also grazed Raghunath’s cow, but Raghunath did not pay her wages. Due to this, there was a quarrel between them earlier regarding wages. Raghunath beat up Tiharo Bai badly over the same old matter.
