Akhil Gogoi announces Raijor Dal’s plans for Assam elections at demo meeting

DEMO: The special organisational meeting and joining programme of Raijor Dal Demo constituency committee was held at Kamami Bhavan Demo on Wednesday, where Raijor Dal president and Sivasagar constituency MLA Akhil Gogoi was present. Raijor Dal president of Demo constituency Rahul Borgohain chaired the meeting. Taking a dig at the BJP, Akhil Gogoi in his address said the party stands for “muloivriddhi” or “price rise”. He said the Raijor Dal will field its candidate in the Demo constituency in the 2026 assembly election. He said around 20 MLAs of the Raijor Dal will be sent to the Assam Assembly in the 2026 assembly election and in 2031 the Raijor Dal will form the government in Assam. He appealed to the Raijor Dal workers present at the meeting to form booth committees. He said the Congress, Raijor Dal and AJP will contest the panchayat elections together. Many people joined Raijor Dal in the presence of Akhil Gogoi at the meeting. Raijor Dal leaders including Raijor Dal general secretary Dhaijya Konwar, organization secretary Deepak Konwar were present in the meeting.
