Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad protests over delay in revaluation of exam results
Mandi: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, District Mandi staged a sit-in demonstration in the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Mandi, with the main theme of opposing the delay and irregularities in the UG 1st year examination results by the Himachal Pradesh University. On this occasion, Sardar Patel University UG Unit Treasurer Gaurav Rawat told that last year the results of various UG subjects were declared. In these examination results, about 85 percent of the students studying in various colleges across the state were failed, which has since become a headache for the entire student community, where on the one hand the students were expecting better results.
On the other hand, such results are definitely working to break the morale of the students. He said that due to this negligence, the year of thousands of youth across the state would be ruined and the future would also be filled with darkness. On this occasion, District Convenor Nishant Guleria told that while on one hand students had secured 90 to 95 percent marks in class 12th, on the other hand, how can all the students of the state fail after coming to the college.
He said that last year too, the Vidyarthi Parishad had fought a big agitation against these results, as a result of which the Himachal Pradesh University had assured the students that they should trust the re-evaluation process against these results, as well as the university administration He also assured to declare these results within a month. He said that the administration of Himachal Pradesh University is like that insidious enemy who first assures friendship with his sweet words and then stabs him in the back when the opportunity arises and this time also the administration did the same.
It’s been more than 5 months but still no one knows the result of revaluation. Where on one hand the students were waiting for these results that when these results will be declared they will be able to appear in the next class examinations. But the Himachal Pradesh University administration, acting according to its years old character, has put the future of these students at stake. On this occasion, he said that the final examinations should be postponed till the revaluation process is completed so that thousands of youth across the state are not deprived of the examinations. He warned that if the university administration does not desist from its misdeeds and does not take cognizance of this, then the student council will launch a fierce agitation across the state for which the Himachal Pradesh University administration will be responsible.
