Ahmedabad Rath Yatra 2024: Silver mace and crown offered to Lord Jagannath
Gujarat: The 147th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath will begin on July 7. Today, the Lord has returned to his temple from his maternal uncle’s house in Saraspur. The Lord got his eyesight by eating too many mangoes and jam at his maternal uncle’s house. Therefore, in the morning, the Netrotsav ritual was performed by blindfolding the Lord. Lord Jagannathji was offered a silver mace and a silver crown at his temple.
The flag was hoisted
The flag was hoisted after the Netrotsav ceremony. After the flag hoisting ceremony, the prasad of Dholi dal and black roti (dudhpak-malpua) is consumed by the saints and sages who have come from different states and cities of the country. In which a large number of devotees have gathered and are taking the prasad. Know what the Netrotsav method says
Lord Jagannathji was in Mosal of Saraspur and the Lord has returned to his temple from Mosal today. 15 days before the Rath Yatra, the Lord goes to his residence and during that time he eats a lot of sweets and jambu at his maternal uncle’s house, due to which he becomes blind. Then Lord Jagannath returns to his temple. However, since he has one eye, a bandage is tied on his eye to give him rest. Therefore, after entering the temple, the Lord’s eyes are bandaged. This ritual is called Netrotsav Anushthan. What will be the program on July 6?
1- Sonavesh Darshan will be held at 10 am
2- The chariot will reach the temple itself at 10.30 am
3- Congress leaders will be present at 2.30 pm
Leaders including the Chief Minister will be present in the Aarti at 4-7 pm
What will be the program on the day of Rath Yatra on July 7?
1- Khichdi Bhog will be served at 4.30 am and tribal dance and Raas Garba will be played at 5 pm.
2- The Lord will be brought into the chariot at 5.45 am
3- Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will perform the Pahind ritual at 7 am
4- After the Pahind ritual, the Rath Yatra will leave the city
