Ahmedabad: Gang members arrested for extorting Rs 2.69 crore from an elderly man in virtual sex

At present, five accused members of the Mewati gang, who duped people by threatening to defame them by making video calls in the trap of virtual sex and cheating them in the name of part-time jobs, have been arrested in the areas of Rajasthan and Haryana. Arrested after running the campaign. Out of these five accused, two accused are such, who extorted Rs 2.69 crore by trapping an elderly businessman of Ahmedabad in a virtual sex trap.

Accused who charged Rs 2.69 in the name of virtual sex was caught

After receiving information about such crimes, the cybercrime team launched a special operation in Bharatpur in Rajasthan and Mewat area in Haryana. The team roamed around in different guises for a week and tried to nab the accused. Eventually the team nabbed five accused involved in the crimes that took place in Ahmedabad. In which the crime of extorting 6 lakhs on the pretext of buying an air compressor in Naranpura area of Ahmedabad, 9 thousand rupees in the name of work from home in Nicole and 2.69 crores in the name of virtual sex from an elderly businessman were involved in the crime.

Five accused were arrested from Rajasthan and Haryana

Crime Branch officials arrested five accused including Tahir Khan and a juvenile from Rajasthan, Irshad Khan from Haryana, Bhawaria alias Sadil from Rajasthan and a juvenile. Before arresting these people, the Crime Branch conducted its investigation by asking for necessary technical information of the case and it came to light that these accused are residents of Rajasthan and Haryana. Crime Branch and SOG police personnel went to Rajasthan and Haryana to arrest him.
