Ahmedabad: Fake PSI made by tailoring uniform for Rs 3500, real police caught before committing crime

Many incidents of extorting money by posing as fake police keep happening in the state. One such incident took place outside the Geeta Mandir ST stand in Ahmedabad. A young man has been arrested outside the Geeta Mandir ST stand in Ahmedabad for posing as a fake PSI and collecting money.

The rickshaw and lorry was setting ablaze

The name of the accused is Ashok Chowdhary, who was attacking rickshaws and lorries outside Geeta Mandir ST bus stand in Ahmedabad. Accused Ashok Chowdhary is originally a resident of Vav taluka of Banaskantha and he is only 10th pass. But Ashok Chaudhary’s elder brother and other family members are working in the police department. Due to which Ashok Chaudhary also had the desire to become a policeman. That’s why he was roaming around as a fake policeman and was roaming around. Geetamandir ST Police has arrested this fake PSI Ashok Chowdhary. When the real police interrogated the fake policeman Ashok Chowdhary, it was found that Ashok Chowdhary had got the police dress made from Wadj for Rs.3500.

In 2021, he was in Sabarmati police station as an accused.

The marriage of accused Ashok Chowdhary has been just one and a half month. The accused was earlier in 2021 as an accused in Sabarmati police station. He has also gone to jail in this case. The accused Ashok, a resident of Ahmedabad, used to threaten people and shopkeepers by posing as a fake policeman and extorting money. When he was on patrol, the police got a clue about him and he was arrested. The fake police have collected money from some other people or shopkeepers. It is also being investigated whether such crime has been committed anywhere else.

The accused of cheating was caught by the Ramol police

Even before this, Ramol police had caught the accused who cheated people by posing as a fake policeman in Ahmedabad. He used to stop the passers-by and demand money on some pretext and later take the amount given by the passer-by. In this case, the police has taken action on the basis of the complaint. Cash and valuables including a motorcycle have been seized from the fake police.
