After Smoke Indication Ahmedabad Bound Air India Plane Lands Back In Delhi

An alert showed smoke on an Air India flight. The plane that took off was diverted. It landed at the airport. The passengers were deboarded. Alternative arrangements were made for them. (Air India Plane) The incident took place in the national capital Delhi. On November 27, Air India flight AI2939 took off from Delhi Airport to Ahmedabad. Immediately, an alert in the cockpit showed smoke in the cargo section.

Meanwhile, the pilots of the plane were immediately alerted. They followed standard operating protocols. The plane was diverted back to the airport. It landed safely. The passengers were deplaned as a precaution.

On the other hand, the flight crew inspected the cargo section where the smoke alert was received. However, no signs of smoke were found there. This led the crew to determine that it was a false alert. However, an Air India official said that the passengers were taken to their destination through alternative arrangements.
