After murdering his girlfriend, the man also committed suicide, both were in a live-in relationship

UP. On Monday, in Shekhpur Lal village of Kiratpur police station area in Bijnor district, a man committed suicide after strangulating a woman living in his neighbourhood. According to the police, on Monday morning the local people had informed about finding the dead bodies of a man and a woman. Police reached the spot and recovered the bodies and sent them for post-mortem.

According to the police, the deceased were identified as Laxman (43) and Dharamwati (45). Both were in a live-in relationship. Bijnor Senior Superintendent of Police Neeraj Kumar Jadaun said that a woman was lying dead on the ground inside the house, while the body of a man was found hanging from the ceiling in a nearby house. During interrogation, it was revealed that there was a love affair between the woman and a neighboring man. There was a dispute going on between the two for some days. Due to the dispute, there was discord between the two, due to which this incident was carried out.

Police said that from the initial investigation it seemed that the man first strangled the woman to death and then committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling. In the case, the forensic team has collected evidence from the spot and the bodies have been sent for postmortem. Further investigation is being done.
