After marriage, groom went to jail, crackdown on family members too, but why

Haldwani: After seven rounds of marriage, the groom and his family had to go to jail. Whereas, the police has sent the bride to Nari Niketan. The police, who arrived on secret information, were also surprised to know the entire matter. Police have registered a case and started investigation.

This shocking incident is related to the groom who hails from UP, while the bride hails from Uttarakhand. According to the information received, on the complaint of secret information about human trafficking, the team of Anti Human Trafficking (AHTU) conducted a raid in a house.

The police, who came to raid a house, were shocked when they came to know that there was a whole matter related to child marriage here. It was revealed that a minor girl has been married by her mother to a young man from Hathras, UP. After investigation, the AHTU team arrested six people and filed a report against them under the Children’s Act.

At around 1 am on Friday night, the AHTU team reached a house in Jayantipuram, Pilikothi. A party was going on here in a closed room. During interrogation, it was revealed that a woman from Haldwani got her 16-year-old daughter married to Atul Sharma (30), a resident of Hathras UP.
