After a dispute with his wife, the young man committed suicide by hanging himself in his in-laws’ house
Shahjahanpur. 15 days ago, a young man came to his in-laws’ house to send off his wife. He hanged himself after having a dispute with his wife over some issue. His in-laws took down his body and took it to the medical college. The doctor declared him dead.
25-year-old Arvind Kumar, a resident of village Samunda in Shahabad police station area of Hardoi district, has his in-laws’ house in village Kursanda in Sindhauli police station area. His wife Sunita was living in her parents’ house for three months. He came to his in-laws’ house 15 days ago to send off his wife. His in-laws used to say that they would send him off any day now.
On Thursday evening, when he asked his wife to come with him, she refused. He had an argument with his wife over this issue. Arvind Kumar hanged himself with a dupatta from the fan’s hook in the room at 1.30 am on Thursday night. During this, when his wife woke up, she saw that her husband was hanging from the noose and was struggling. His in-laws removed the dupatta from his neck and brought him to the medical college the same night.
The doctor declared Arvind dead. On receiving the news, his family members came from Hardoi and informed the police station. The police sent the body for postmortem. The family members took his body to Hardoi. Inspector in-charge Dharmendra Kumar said that he had come to his in-laws’ house to bid farewell to his wife. He said that no written complaint has been received from the family of the deceased.
