Advanced breed animals displayed in livestock fair

Korea. A two-day animal fair including a seminar of district level farmers and animal rearers was organized by the Veterinary Department on March 6 and 7 in Government Secondary School, Kanchanpur of Baikunthpur development block. According to the information, about 100 farmers/animal herders had displayed advanced breed cows, heifers, buffaloes, padiyas, goats, bull-buffalo pairs and chicken-hens along with other birds in the fair. The public representatives who reached the fair observed the animals and birds brought for display. Departmental officers demonstrated urea treatment of paddy para and Azolla production in front of farmers/animal herders and gave information about its information and benefits.

Dr. Mrs. Vibha Singh Baghel, Deputy Director posted in the Veterinary Department, gave detailed information about various schemes and activities run by the government. She appealed to the animal farmers to take advantage of the departmental schemes so that they can become financially strong and also improve the health of animals. ones

Regarding diseases, it was also requested to take them to the nearest veterinary hospital on time and get them examined and treated. At the fair venue, first, second, third and consolation prizes in each category were given by the public representatives to the animals/birds of excellent breed selected by the jury and to the farmers/animal herders doing better animal husbandry.
