Administration reaching out to Birhor families to provide benefits of PM Janman Yojana

Raigarh. To provide the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, the administration is reaching out to Birhor families, a special backward tribe living in the district. An initiative is underway to connect them 100 percent with basic facilities like housing, ration card, Aadhar card, Ayushman card, caste certificate and all other schemes of the government. For this, a joint team of the administration has identified all the Birhor dominated villages of Raigarh district and is running a survey campaign there.

CEO District Panchayat Jitender Yadav arrived for inspection of Hingjhir, Kachkoba and Kodkel of Tamnar block. Camps under PM Janman Yojana have been organized here. CEO Yadav learned the status of implementation of the scheme here. Panchayat staff informed that 158 people from 48 families of Birhor community are living in these villages. 19 beneficiaries have been identified under the housing scheme. The remaining families have been given the benefit of the housing scheme. CEO Shri Yadav gave instructions to carry forward the process related to housing of the identified people. Also reviewed the making of Ration Card, Aadhar Card, Ayushman Card and Caste Certificate. Camps are being organized for this in all the Panchayats and the process is being completed to provide the benefits of the scheme to the homeless people who have not been able to join these schemes. CEO Shri Yadav gave instructions to the SDM and CEO of the district to complete the process by taking information from the hospital for making the birth certificate. He said that progress should be visible in the next 3 days. On this occasion, Panchayat and Revenue Department employees including CEO Tamnar Virendra Singh Rai were present.
