Additional Chief Secretary Richa Sharma inspected paddy procurement centers

Raipur. Paddy procurement has started in the state from today. To inspect this system, Additional Chief Secretary of Food Department Richa Sharma visited the paddy procurement centers of the district. Sharma said that ensure that all the farmers have biometrics, in the presence of server down, verify the farmers through other options. She inquired about the availability of gunny bags and said that as the paddy is procured, keep gunny bags in sufficient quantity.

Additional Chief Secretary of Food Department Sharma said that paddy procurement in the district should be done in a good manner, there should not be any kind of irregularity, paddy should be procured only from registered farmers. Farmers should not face any kind of problem. They should be paid within the stipulated period of 72 hours fixed by the government. Toll-free number should be displayed in every center, so that farmers can use it when needed. On this occasion, Additional Collector Kirtiman Rathore, Food Controller Bhupendra Mishra, CEO of District Cooperative Bank Apeksha Vyas and other related officers were present. He visited the paddy procurement centres of village Kendri and Pipraud in district Abhanpur and took feedback from the farmers and told them to inform the administration in case of any problem. He inspected the process of purchasing paddy with electronic weighing scale and the biometric system.
